Too Much Talking Episode 17: The “Racist Science” Episode

Too Much Talking #17 “Racist Science” Episode 02/22/11

Not the best cast, as we talk about science for a good half of it. Sadly a lack of planning kept us from being fluid in our communications. I wish I could have captured the conversations that happened earlier and later in the day, be alas, that’s a hard thing to invoke on the spot.

That said, we now want to plan ahead for topics, so please, this week, submit questions and possible topics for the main discussion.

  1. So, Kayin that honey-comb thing you may be talking about is probably a phenomenon called “eye floaters”. Do a search on it some time.

Anyway, I figure somebody has to bring this up, especially since you guys just got done talking about Dawkins a little bit. Perhaps you guys could do a topic some week about religion where you can tell us what sort of religious upbringing you guys had, if at any at all, or what your current views on certain religions are.

I do understand that discussions about this topic can quickly and very easily become very volatile around certain people, so if you feel that this is a piss-poor idea for a topic, go ahead and ignore my suggestion.

  2. Hey Guys,
Sorry for the long comment, but I have a few unrelated questions I wanted to ask.

My first question is about fighting games, they seem to be a favorite of yours, but personally I have never been any good at them. Are there any specific things that one can do to learn how to play that genre well? And are there any games that are good for beginners? Also, why are you drawn to fighting games over other kinds of games you play, or even more traditional genres?

My second question is about conventions. Do you like them? Do you hate them? Do you regularly go to any, and or, do you have any plans or desires to attend any coming up?

My last question is about music. Why do you listen to the kinds of music you listen to regardless of what they are? I know quite a few people who listen to one or two particular kinds of music, or who are loyal to several bands. But personally, I usually listen to music I think is clever or witty, and the genre doesn’t matter to me a whole lot.

Thanks, and keep up the good work.

  3. Hello Kayin and company.

    I has questons for you…people.

    How do I nerd effectively?

Also, what it even is that video game music is good for? OR!
What are some things that you guys like about video game music?

    Love,
    Brohemoth
