Naomi Isabella Victoria Vos Cruz is a powerful Aistorian Paladin and a member of The Sacred Order of Saint Alistair. Daughter of the head of house Cruz, Naomi was born and raised in Vannaleona.

Appearence

Naomi is a tall, strong, young woman. Her long hair is naturally a vivid purple (a common trait along the magically active Brandt's) as well as deep blue eyes. Tall, firm and long legged, she has a graceful, athletic body.

Naomi takes great pride in her appearance and does her best to remain well groomed, even when preparing for battle and always carries her self with dignity.

Naomi's dress and armor vary from time to time, but generally consists of a black leather one-piece, pants, shrug and thigh high boots under a highly polished breastplate. Generally, Naomi keeps her lower body lightly armored for high mobility. Naomi also almost always wears a crimson red cape and waist cloth, as is common in her order.

Personality

Naomi is good-natured and highly motivated woman. Very gregarious, Naomi loves to spend her days about town, chatting with those around her and sneaking off to bars. While very sociably amiable, she is a competitive and driven individual, prone to bouts of brashness. Naomi also has a strong sense of justice, though this perception has changed over her lifetime.

Pious in her youth (Brave Earth: Prologue), Naomi's faith has waned over time (Brave Earth: Tower in the Sky) due to both her Brother's influences and her experiences at the Tower. Like her brother, her lack of faith has lead her to grow rather introspective over time in an attempt to find her own morality. These experiences have helped break the black and white thinking that plagued her youth.

Naomi is prone to to flashes of anger in combat or other high stress situations (though nothing close to the fury Cassara displays) and it has only gotten worse since the Death of her brother. She has a tendency to grow irrational when a chance to kill Cassara and avenge her brother arises.

Combat

Naomi is a skilled and gifted paladin who has only grown stronger through rigorous training. Naomi wields a bastard sword and heater shield and her strength allows her to wield both with minimal effort. She is also highly agile, able to take to the air nimbly despite her armor. The long reach of her sword allows her to to maintain safety while being aggressively. After the death of her brother, she occasionally uses his oversized demon hunters sword, Verbannen.

Never particularly blessed with the healing skills taught to the women of her order, Naomi's magic channels holy energy into offensive projectiles. While Naomi believed her powers were given to her by god (as all of her order is taught), she realized in The Tower that her powers were internal in nature and this realization led to better wield this power.

In her youth (Brave Earth: Prologue), Naomi was not quite so agile or strong and adapted a more cautious, slow and defensive style.

History

Naomi was born in 396 NE, the second child and last child of her Household. While never quite an obstinate, Naomi's tomboyish tendencies made her a challenge to rear as a proper woman. Naomi also spent a lot of time with her childhood friend, Sinlen, the gifted daughter belonging to Sorcerer's of House Rothschild. Sinlen's selfish nature helped temper some of Naomi's brashness and helped her learn how to excel in difficult social situations.

As a teenager, Naomi joined the Sacred Order of Saint Alistair, a long time tradition for skilled fighters from House Cruz. Despite knowing that the order currently exempted women from combat, Naomi saw it as her best chance to get her abilities noticed.

413 NE (Brave Earth: Prologue), Naomi manages to get an assignment to deliver a message to a mountain outpost. While Naomi did not expect to see combat, being sent down dangerous roads showed the Order had a degree of faith in her she took pride in. Naomi discovered the outpost destroyed and fought her way through Donovon's mercenary company (name needed) to an abandoned church containing a cult of necromancers engaged in an ancient summoning ritual. During this she is aided by Sinlen and Trevor and first meets the Succubus, Vayn (Elizabeth Fontaine). Naomi's confidence grows and the order finally takes her seriously.

416 NE, the events of Tower in the Sky take place (to be described later). Most importantly Trevor is killed by Cassara, who claims he was complicit in the events going on there. Naomi during her experience has her confidence crushed and then rebuilt and her faith replaced with self confidence.
