Abandoned Concepts and Characters
A list of stuff I've mostly cut but is still worth remembering... just in case. Some stuff kinda still exists and will likely be refactored, but a lot of this stuff is well past it's expiration date.

Hikaru
Status: In another AU, maybe
Cassara's girlfriend/wife in most RPs I've done. While I'm extremely fond of Hikaru, since she isn't my character, I don't quite have the control of her necessary to make drastic changes for story purposes. For Brave Earth purposes, she's been replaced with the more adversarial Laon
Still I character I love seeing art of Cass with so emotionally I can never quite abandon that ship😭😭
Hotaru
Status: Seems Redundant
Perfect character to spice up an RP, but Cass's RP daughter (with Hikaru) mostly has problems and insecurities Cassara should have. I don't even think Cass should ever have a kid at this point. General character could fit in still as Vayn's girlfriend later in life, but would need to be reworked.
Shiv Related
Project Spectre
Status: Maybe Salvageable
Shivic clone soldier storyline with strong elements ripped off from Star Craft Ghosts. The idea of a Shivic Eugenics program kinda fits their whole gross shtick, but might be a bit much.
Loneis
Status: Likely Salvageable
The run away LONE-15 spectre and mercenary punk. Not as much in love with the concept of "fun loving group of do-good mercenaries" anymore. He could appear in some way if I needed some Shivic military character, with or without the "I was grown in a vat" storyline. Or maybe with it.

Status: Absolutely not.
The weird coffin dragging edgelord freak, created when the Spectre Project tried to introduce magic. A dumb mix of Hellsing's Alucard, Jedah from Vampire Savior, and a little bit of Wolfwood. The old "Big Bad" after Zephan is dealt with. Also had some random girl he dragged around whose name I can't remember but she wasn't evil and full of eyes.
Kinda replaced in role by the ghost of Aleksander Orso, who is a bit more Randall Flagg, and a lot less 2000s edgelord Anime.
MAYBE the possibility he's what happens when you try and clone and resurrect a Kar? His magic looked like Phantasmagoria...

Haffen Cairo
Status: Maybe Salvageable
The eugenics scientist and "dad" whose corpse Gryhl drags around in a coffin. Kinda like the name. it's always stuck with me, but I don't know what EVIL SCIENCE Shiv can be up to. Shiv has drifted more and more to "Capitalistic Hellscape" which doesn't preclude mad scientists but I feel like the evil tends to be more mundane.
The Arena
Status: Maybe they have robot combat as a sport in the desert, but this shit is gone.
Shiv used to have an arena where mechs and like criminals fought and it just seems so fucking out of place. Turns out I hate deadly Arenas 99% of the time and they only belong in freaky places like Orso Moldano.

The Shivic Shield and Laser
Status: What the fuck would they even need it for?
Shiv still has the walls, as were part of the Shiv Crater, but urban sprawl has pushed past them. I'm not even sure why the WALLS still exist, other than that they were big lips of rock to build around. Silly shit from the era of RP where we all needed to have the most defensible city.
The Shivic Tower Basement
Status: I actually don't hate it, but it doesn't make sense anymore
The idea that the Shivic Tower is filled with horrible monsters due to wild magic is cool, but Shiv has tech BECAUSE It's a magic deadzone. Magic was literally ripped off of that area of earth during the Rending.
I feel like all the freaky flesh monsters are probably in the Orso Moldano pit known as The Shadowtower, which was the other side of the ritual that caused the rending.
TMAs
Status: Definitely still a thing but need a rework.
Maybe even a new name. Shivic mechs, mostly functioning like Heavy Gear style mecha. I think the larger more Gundam-y TMAs are right out. Might wanna move even farther from Heavy Gear, and closer to VOTOMs.
Kar/Mons Related
The Kar not existing (save for the man on the Moon) after the Rending changes the whole dynamic of a lot of stuff.
Ramsus
Status: Maybe I can reuse the name.
The leader of the Kar, but... the Kar are gone. Could be the leader of the Temple of Mons (There was another guy, whose name I can't remember...). Could be the Leader before The Rending, but Ramsus is too normal a person name. Karric names need to be weird.
Temple of Mons
Status: Rework Needed
I feel like instead of being the group of humans who assist the Kar, the Temple of Mons is the religion that forms in Ryaith when the abandoned Karric Library is found on the Mons Mountain. Perhaps they're the people Zephan "adopts" when he returns to the Earth. Kinda a parody of the original Kar.
The Dahl
Status: Things don't work that way.
There is no holy book that can exist where a digital copy would be some huge world shaker. Even proving Scifera exists in universe would... okay it'd be a big deal, but it wouldn't start wars. Ryaith already has a slightly developed form of Scifera worship.
The Karric Texts are kinda a big deal but they're also a thing viewed with great suspicion from the outside. A lot of people across the sea probably think of the Library as an elaborate hoax.
The Great Karric Weapons
Status: Gone, but bits remain.
The apocalyptically named Edgelord swords that all the Sashni had. I hate the names too why would they be named after all these apocalyptic terms that didn't exist when they were forged?
Ragnorok
Status: Now the Hanamitsu/Setsugekka
The fragile, reality cutting katana that Kayin needed Makoto's dad to reforge is now the Setsugekka, a sword Kayin as gifted while in Japan. It's magical properties probably got more extreme after it was reforged. An incredible blade, but not the Ultimate Best World Saving Sword Ever.
Claíomh Solais
Status: I have no idea
Not one of the Karric swords, but Kayin related. Unsure if I want his claymore to ACTUALLY be the Claiomh Solais. I like that it gives hint at his scottish history. May have that name, just as a reference even in world. Part of me liked the story of a sword of Kayin's becoming an old world relic that Naomi has, but I like that the Sword of Brandt is of humble origins.

Armageddon
Status: Replaced by the Kor'amrok
I like the idea that Kayin destroys whatever Karric sword Zephan has, only for him to use the broken blade as a wrist blade after The Rending. It'll certainly have a different name, but it might be the one sword that remains an actual Karric weapon.
Apocalypse
Status: Sorry, no
This giant Zanbatou inspired thing used to be iconic for Cassara, before her fists ended up being the important thing. Makes less sense too when Cassara's cleansing flame is what makes her special. She's supposed to destroy Scifera's mistakes by atomizing them, not hit things with a giant sword.
All the other swords (Doomsday, Holocaust... Atman?? What is this old art page I'm looking at doing???) also go right in the trash.

Regions
An old map of Brave Earth from the late 2000s. Some bits still survive, and it points to some old areas that either no longer exist or have changed significantly.
Magarthen
Status: Gone, but maybe some wizards are on some floating rocks.
Floating islands ARE a thing in Brave Earth, but there isn't one so big it forms a country of mages. I don't even like the idea of a mage country. I little too Zeal.
The Madlands
Status: Abandoned
The old Mad Max area where australia used to be that was like, magic and tech working fully together. I... just don't think it fits in and raises too many questions. Also too on the nose.
Nevencler
Status: Maybe...
Probably would just do something else, rather than having the weird jungle-western-european country in the middle of what used to be Japan. Name is a bit too fantasy, but MAYBE
Warring Isle
Status: It and Erulian just became Aistoria
One of those super important regions back in the day that doesn't even exist. Like the ISLAND still exists on the current map, but everything it was trying to do, Aistoria ended up doing better.
