IWBTM Game 10.5 - GAME OVER - Mafia Win

Well, so here we are once again. Since I can’t write scenes very well, we won’t get very involved in the plot; instead, we’ll just jump straight into the mechanics!

The main basis of this game will be points. Most roles generate points. Points can be used to activate your role’s action(s). You’ll see more what I’m talking about when you look at the role list.

: Role List • show

Doctor (Town)
Generates 1 point per day. Starts with 1 point. May use 1 point to protect another player from harm for one night; may use 2 points to protect self from harm for one night.

Persistent (Town)
When killed, the Persistent loses a life, and is PMed with this notification. The Persistent then continues to live as normal, until they are killed again.

Tree Stump (Town)
Acts as a vanilla townie, except in that at any point during the game they may post Tree Stump in the thread. This makes them invulnerable, but they cannot vote. The usual rules apply; anyone who is not the Tree Stump who posts Tree Stump will be modkilled.

Retired Cop (Town)
Generates 2 points per day. Starts with no points. May use 1 point to visit someone at night to find out how many points they have (before they use points for role actions). May use 3 points to visit someone and find out if they are vanilla. May use 5 points to visit someone and find their allegiance.

Apathetic Investigator (Town)
Starts with 5 points. Generates no points per day. May use 1 point to visit someone and find out how many points they have (before they use points for role actions). May use 2 points to visit someone and see who they visit that night. May use 3 points to visit someone and find out who visited them that night.

Vanilla Townie (Town)
They’re vanilla. There are 5 of them.

Captain (Neutral)
Starts with 1 point. Generates 1 point per day. For 2 points, the Captain may go out to sea during one night, which protects them from all role actions. The Captain’s only goal is to survive till the end.

Street Runner (Mafia)
Starts with 2 points. Generates 1 point per night. May use 2 points to hide the role of a mafia kill for 1 day. (Their identity will be revealed at the end of the day). May use 5 points to visit someone and take all their excess points (they will still use any role actions they would use that night, but if they have any points left over, they are stolen.)

Bureaucrat (Mafia)
Generates 1 point per day. Starts with no points. May use 2 points to stop the role action of a player by visiting them. This will negate the Persistent’s extra life (if they would be killed that night), but it does not effect the Captain. If the role action of a points-user is blocked, they will regain the points they would have used.

Boss (Mafia)
Starts with 2 points. Generates no points. May use 1 point in order to silence a player for 1 night. This ability is a night visit, and it’ll silence them on the next night.

Terrorist (Mafia)
Starts with 1 point. Generates 1 point per night. Once the Terrorist has 3 points, they may, at any time, post Terrorist Kill: Username in the thread, and the Terrorist and the target will die. I will not tolerate any jokes with this; just like Tree Stump, if you post this and you are not the Terrorist I will modkill you. The Terrorist does not know who the mafia are, nor do they know him. If the mafia would kill the Terrorist, nothing happens.

Be sure to rope DD into writing the plot points so you can focus on them Technical things while we get entertained by that whimsy of his. Unless of course you don't wanna have things stretched so out-of-perspective that we have MOAR aliens, werewolves, dinosaurs with monocles and the like running around your game. (Even if their roles physcially aren't present.)

Oh, how long are the days and nights?
I'll try to keep nights to around 12 hours and days to around 24 hours. Unfortunately, my schedule doesn't always cooperate with this, so the hours will be a little variable.

As for Boss: 'silence' is losing the ability to talk.
