Hello. For a few days now I've been working on the first level of what is going to be "I wanna be the Hawt Potato".
The level is Mario based, with little traps. The traps however are far more unexpected than in most IWBTG fan games I've played so far. I am hoping to turn this game into a good quality fan game.

There is one level with several screens and a secret. The level ends with a huge DEMO in 8-bit blocks. Good luck, and be sure to give good constructive criticism.

I really disliked it. In my opinion it's a bad fangame and you have poor level design. I would go further into critique but I'm tired of time and time again critiqueing fangames for the same reasons. Try checking this thread out http://kayin.pyoko.org/iwbtg/forums/index.php?topic=12235.0

The tiles look good, and the level design is nice in a few parts.
Other than that, though, I didn't really like it.
The "re-design" for the Kid isn't very appealing.
There are a lot of stupid intricate jumps.
You changed the size of the screen for the game.
It was a nice effort compared to some.

You've dei=finately potential but the changed blood colour , I'm asusming the NES pallette on the kid and the background look dreadful. There was a lot of complete dick moves that pissed me of when what you should be trying to achieve is humour. Nothing was original it was just the same old. The level design imo was awful.

That design for the kid is temporary.
A few of the rooms have been changed, but other than that I don't know what you are referring to most of the time, would you mind telling me which rooms I should change the most?

How Do I exactly  make my enemies attack the  :kid: whenever they are standing right next to him?

Like the zombies from I Wanna be like Brisluph.

An explained code will be much appreciated.

That and enemies that jump whenever they come upon a block

That would check if the enemy was 5 pixels away from the "player" and if it is it would attack.

For the latter, you'd make a collision with a block in the enmy code then active a code for jumping and turning around.

After almost 1 year of asking myself "To make, or not to make", decision has been made.
Yes, the "I wanna be the Otaku!" is on-going.
Things completed:
-Title screen, all along with settings menu and key remap.
-Warp room, 3 paths, 2 available at the start, 1 after those 2 are completed.
-A few screens in left path, 2 bosses completed in right path.
-Won't get killed by boundaries, in some cases will be teleported to "wut room".
-Most of BGM are from Super Mario Land 3: Wario land, Rayman 2: The great Escape, Crash Bandicoot Series (Crash Bash included) and more. I really love those BGM's and they also fit nicely which is the most important.
-Custom kid sprite (neko! Huzzah)
-Weather effects.
-Lights.


Things that I'm currently working on(I will update this post for the lulz):
-Messing with left path.
-Enemy AI, not only moving up and down, left and right, but being able to jump over solid object and avoid everything the player is avoiding(sort of a 'competition' like thing, who's the better kid), and more.
-Time manipulation.
Will be available in the bottom path, as the first boss in it is Aeon Clock (Air Gear series)

-Short distance teleport thing.

Things that will be made in future:
- SideBar(or maybe bottombar) in a new window, showing secret items found, teleport feature once the game is beaten, settings menu, etc etc.
-Not only the basic platform movement.
-And much more I can't even imagine.

Progress? Let's say about 5% done.
Beta release? You can expect it in January maybe.
That's pretty much all of it for now.

Hello guys, Jolty here. I'm not quite sure how the rules work. I have a relatively small demo and video of the demo but I'll post my stuff here to be safe. The name of the game is I wanna be eaten alive! This game isn't meant to be extremely hard. It's meant to swallow you a lot or you eat them sometimes or see a lot of delicious food and be fun.

You guys know that there are many vore (vore = the love of eating people or being eaten alive) characters out there like Yoshi, Kirby, King Dedede, Andross, gulpin, etc. Well, this game has lots of being eaten and sometimes they eat other enemies as well! If you like being eaten or like seeing others being eaten, this is your game! So far, it has magikoopa, gulpin, and King dedede. I plan on adding Yoshi, Bowser, the dragon from disgaea, and Swalot and maybe a like-like. The difference between other fangames is obviously vore, yeah, and it has animated eating scenes like gulpin swallowing the kid. Also, it has creative ways of being eaten.

The above link is the demo of my game. It only has two rooms. The warp will crash the game.

Please give me your thoughts like what characters do you want to see eat the kid? What kind of graphics do you want like do you want an internal visual of someone like bowser or lots of candy and sweets? Please be reasonable to which characters you want to see eat people like I can only find sprites. Nothing like dino crisis stuff. I open to suggestions.

Also, if what I posted is legal for making my own topic, please let me know so I can make a topic about this.

I've read both of those already and I didn't touch the graphics yet because I'm looking for ideas for the graphics like the blocks and the background as said in my previous post.

Generally, I decide which game I want to base an area on first, and then the graphics and gameplay is much easier to figure out.

Looks like a promising Fangame, my only complaint besides the tiles is the Kid himself, If you can, can you make him look more like candy?, also maybe you can change the Death Music, since there is no Blood, there is really no reason to keep the Music. :D
